Sharon was educated in Ipswich and having commenced employment with Kerseys in November 1985, studied with the Institute of Legal Executives from 1993 through to 2008 obtaining Professional Higher Diplomas in Conveyancing Practice and two other Land based law subjects.

Sharon enjoys the cinema, yoga, pilates and endurance walking challenges. Sharon has supported various local charities over the years including St Elizabeth Hospice and the Ipswich Hospitals Woolverstone Wish and Blossom Appeals. Sharon was one of the organisers behind the Flutter of Fairies and March of 1000 fairies events that took place on the Ipswich Cornhill in June 2013 and June 2014 respectively.
